What an interesting week we have had with cold weather, icy conditions, and a weather related E-Learning Day! Thank you for your help on Wednesday working with your child(ren) and helping them learn from home! I saw some fun activities it looked like some of you were doing at home on that cold day!
In school we are finishing up our Box Study! This was a fun study, and the kids were so excited to use boxes in different ways! From sitting in a box, to building, to making robots, we had all kinds of fun and learning.
Next week we will begin a new study: Buildings! This is a great time to make observations and practice measurement. We are continuing to have indoor gross motor times because of the cold, snowy, and icy weather. However, we do go outside if the playground is clear of snow and ice, and if the feels like temperature is above 25F. So if weather warms up, it's always a good idea to have warm gloves, hats, and a warm winter coat on your child, so they can comfortably enjoy being outside.
Next week we are also beginning One Book, One School. Our principal and assistant principal will be visiting the classroom on Tuesday in costume, to introduce the book! You can see the book and chapters to read together at home beginning next week.
Stay warm this weekend!
