It was wonderful to see so many of you here on Tuesday for American Education Week! The kids love having you here, and I love that you are celebrating your child's education, and get to share in some of their experiences. I can hardly believe a whole trimester is already past, and we are ready to have parent-teacher conferences. I am looking forward to meeting with all of you to discuss the wonderful progress your child has made, as well as things you can do to support their learning at home.
This week we learned the letter O. We practiced letters by matching turkey feathers with letters on them, and practiced counting by putting turkeys in order according to their number of feathers. In addition to making our 3D turkeys, we have had opportunities for free art exploration. It is really neat to see their creativity come out, as well as how they practice important skills like writing, cutting, and drawing.
Next week there will not be any student attendance. We will have conferences on Monday and Tuesday. I can't wait to tell you about all of their wonderful progress! I hope you all enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving, spending lots of time together as a family.
