I can hardly believe it, but we only have 3 1/2 weeks left in this school year! I am so very proud of all the wonderful progress all students have made this year! As the saying goes, everything I need to know about life, I learned in preschool. We've learned about interacting positively with adults and children in our class, as well as academic skills such as identifying and writing letters, identifying shapes, colors, and numbers, and counting. The kids have all come such a long way!
This week we continued our clothes study. We learned about the laundry process, how clothes are sorted and how they get cleaned and dried. The kids have also enjoyed trying on all the different clothing you have sent in! I plan to send the clothing back home next Friday. I will be looking for labels and returning to the owners. If you do not get back something you sent in, please let me know. We may have missed the label! Thanks so much for your continued support at home!
This week our story was called Wash and Dry. The letter we practiced was X. Our art project this week was a special surprise for our mothers! We also had a surprise arrive yesterday afternoon-caterpillars! We are so excited to watch them grow and turn into butterflies.
Next Week:
Letter: Y
Story: Who Wears What
We will also be using a variety of art materials. We have been exposing kids to different kinds of art, such as water color and tempera paints, and 3D art materials. We will continue to have these available next week!
