By now you have gotten your child's Trimester 2 update. I have to tell you I am so proud of all the students and the wonderful progress they have made! This group of students is full of eager learners and they continue to amaze me daily with their ideas and growth. I know how hard you have been working at home as well to help them achieve individual goals. Thank you for all your hard work. Their progress is clear and obvious. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly. I am happy to clarify questions, and provide ideas and support for home. Please do see the comments section at the very end of the report card. This is where I have detailed specific feedback about the progress your child made and a plan for the future, with ideas for you to help them continue to make progress too.
This week we talked all about balls bouncing, and discussed whether all balls bounce. Something that is really neat to see at this point in the year, is how the students are becoming critical thinkers. They come up with new ideas, talk with each other about their ideas, and are anxious to try them out. These are wonderful skills! I'm sharing a chart here as a small snapshot of the ideas they are exchanging and trying out.
Next week is also our Kindergarten registration meeting. This is such an important meeting so you can learn all about the next steps. All students in our class will be going to kindergarten, so it's important to be prepared! Mrs. Maxey is offering the meeting at 3 times on this coming Tuesday, March 3. You can attend 9:00-9:45, 1:00-1:45, or 5:30-6:15. You will register for Kindergarten at your child's home school, which is not necessarily Cronin.
Enjoy the extra long weekend with your family! I look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday!
