It's been a great week! Our class has been so engaged and involved in their learning through the Ball Study. We finished up the study this week. Next week we will take a break from studies and learn about Fall. We will focus on weather and falling leaves. We will explore color, texture and smell! The following week we will begin our next study- Pets!
We will celebrate Halloween at school on Tuesday. Children may wear costumes. Please note, no weapons may be at school at any time- this includes pretend weapon costume props. Please leave those at home. Students may bring treat bags for their friends, if they wish, but that is not required. We have 20 students in class. We follow the Troy School District wellness policy. Therefore, treat bags must adhere to this. Treats can either be non-food items such as spider rings, or they can be healthy food choices like Cheez-its. Troy Hofer students will parade around the building for other students, but there will be no family viewing of the costume parade. Troy Hofer does not have the space to accommodate this. Please take pictures at home instead. Students should wear their costumes to school, including any make up that needs to be applied. We will dismiss at 11:50AM on Tuesday for SIP Day. Please let me know if you have any questions about Halloween.
On Tuesday, November 14 there will be a parent and child workshop on supporting children through big feelings. It is provided by Star Net, which is a reputable workshop provider. I have attended workshops on various subjects through them many times, and they never disappoint. I hope you will take advantage of this great opportunity!
