We finished up our Reduce, Reuse, Recycle study this week. The kids really loved letting their creativity blossom in this study. They used cereal boxes this week in our block center, and loved seeing how these boxes can make unique buildings.
We said good-bye to our wonderful student teacher, Miss P. on Friday. She brought new ideas and a fresh perspective to our classroom. This past week she led an activity where children practiced making shapes on paper after rolling a die. She also painted with kitchen utensils with students on Friday. Our journals this week were about what we like to do with Miss P., and we made her a book of our favorites that she took with her on her last day. She will be missed!
We've made it into the final month of school! There is an ABC countdown for our last days of school. A calendar for the countdown went home, and all important dates are also noted on the May calendar on your student's folder. May is going to be a busy month!
