It's hard to believe, but the end of the school year is here! We are so grateful for the positive experience this year has turned out to be. You are a huge part of that! Your flexibility and positive attitude through remote learning, then in person, back to remote, and back once again to in person, are what kept us going through all the chaos. Your children reflected your attitude and I am so proud of all of them and how well they did. Yes, we all hope that school can go back to what it used to be next year. However, we also know that we did what we needed to do this year. Not only did we survive, but your children thrived. They made friends! They learned and grew! They are ready for kindergarten! It has been my pleasure to get to know each of them and help them grow. I couldn't be more proud of them.
So first some logistics for these last days:
Today is Beach Towel reading day! Please bring a beach towel from home. If you want to also bring a favorite book from home, that's good too. We will be outside on beach towels reading, and we will have a popsicle treat!
Monday we do still have school! It's a shortened day, and we will be dismissing at 11:50. Car riders can be picked up in the same spot as always at 11:50. Bus riders will be riding the bus home, but at that earlier time that day. I know it's hard to come on a Monday for the last day, but please don't miss it! We will pass out report cards, some memory books, keepsakes, and other special treats for your children! We also are planning a fun day outdoors for much of the day. Bringing a water bottle is a good idea, and comfortable clothes.
OK, as promised, I do have butterfly release pictures for you. The kids were so excited!
