What a week! It's been a fun-filled exciting week of learning here in preschool. The kids have been continuing to enjoy ball study. One of their favorite things this week was predicting what would happen when I turned a fan on behind a ping pong ball! We are very excited to see what makes balls bounce and how they move.
Everyone has been doing such a great job with their learning. We are getting so much better with sharing, taking turns, and being a good listener at school. I know you have been part of their learning too, so thank you! With the social things coming along, I am seeing more of their academic learning shining through as well. They are doing a super job in their journals really working to begin writing words, beginning with just writing letter strings, which is the first step. It means they know that letters make words. Then we move toward sounding words out, but first just the first letter. Today a student wrote K for Captain America. If your child does something like this, that's wonderful! It means they are sounding out that beginning sound! It doesn't matter if it's perfectly accurate. They are building those beginning blocks they need toward future success in writing!
Today was a wonderful party day! I wish we could have paraded outdoors for you to come see all of us, but the kids had a fantastic day regardless of that. I am sharing a few fun pictures from our festivities today. Enjoy!
