The second trimester ended today. I am so proud of all the tremendous growth the kids have been making. I'm hearing longer conversations, and seeing more interactive play. They're retelling stories, and interacting with books. Everyone is getting better at counting and identifying shapes too! I'm so proud to share their great work with you! Their updated Development and Learning reports will go home next week. I can't wait for you to see how much they have grown! Please watch for the report, and let me know if you have questions!
Don't lose it! Reuse it! We are off to a great start in our Reduce, Reuse, Recycle unit! The students have let their creativity blossom with some very inventive art! Art to Remember orders went home this week! The kids are so proud of their beautiful hand print butterflies! Please return envelopes with orders by March 13.

Hello Families, We have had a great week beginning our Reduce, Reuse, Recycle study! Thank you to all of you that have sent in clean recyclables! We have been having a great time making artwork from them! We also had a wonderful Valentine's Day party. Thank you to our Valentine's Day helpers for making our day special, and to all of you helping your children make valentines at home.
Next week we will continue our investigation into Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Please feel free to continue to send in recyclable items. We practiced throwing in Young Athletes this week. The kids are getting so good at these motor skills. It's great to see them fine tuning their abilities and getting ready for more sporting activities. We continue to go outside whenever the weather is above 20 degrees. Please be sure to send appropriate outerwear. No School Monday in honor of President's Day. Enjoy the long weekend! Hello Families! We have had a fantastic week as we wrap up our clothing study! The kids are doing a wonderful job continuing to notice things on their clothes, like letters, numbers, and shapes, as well as color and texture. We've also been practicing looking for letters in the sand, treasure hunt style, and drawing shapes on white boards! Next week we look forward to beginning our Recycling Study! In Young Athletes this week we worked on trapping and catching. The kids are doing such a great job learning to balance and trap a ball under their foot! We had a great time at our Side by Side, here at Crossroads' Letter Land! Next week our Valentine's Day party will take place on Tuesday. Please send in valentines with only your child's name on it, and not addressed to anyone. Also, we still follow our wellness policy on this day. We are looking forward to a great day!
Hello Families,
We have had a great week learning all about special clothing people wear to work. We also had a dentist visit on Tuesday, so we could see a real dentist and learn about how to take care of our teeth. We have been talking about feelings while reading stories like Llama Llama Red Pajama. The children have been very excited about new items in our classroom as well! We now have a music center. The kids have loved independently working the CD player and playing music with instruments at center time. |
