We had a great Winter Activity Day yesterday! Thank you so much to all the parents that came out to make our day successful! The kids had a great time. One of our activities yesterday included making Christmas tree sensory bags. We put hair gel into bags, along with a green triangle, a star, and lots of glitter, pom poms, etc, to make a squishy, sparkly, sensory delight. These are just for kids to enjoy looking at as well as feeling the squish of the bag, due to the hair gel. It was a fun project for them to make! This was an optional activity, so you may or may not have found one of these bags in your child's folder yesterday.
In Second Step we learned about feeling feelings in our bodies. We learned that when we are worried, our tummy might feel uncomfortable. We also learned that when we feel that way we can seek out adult help, to help us feel better.
I wish you all a relaxing, safe, and happy holiday. We will see you again in 2016!
