We are wrapping up our short but fun week, with tomorrow being the classroom parties and the last day before break! We changed things up a bit this week and focused more on Winter than pets. We are still studying pets and will be returning to it after the break. We're just enjoying a change as we prepare for the holidays and Winter weather. Today we read a fun book called Snowballs that made a whole snow family including pets, and used creative materials for their snow people and animals. The kids loved thinking about what less than standard materials they could use to make snow people.
Speaking of Winter weather, please do remember to send hats and gloves and a warm coat every day. We are going outside whenever possible, which means weather "feels like" 25-90F, and not raining.
Thank you to all of you that have sent back the Young Athletes forms. If you have any questions, please let me know. Please do return these as soon as possible. While this program is sponsored by Special Olympics, it is for all preschool students, regardless of whether or not they have a disability.
Tomorrow will be our Winter Parties, and then we leave for the Winter Break. I wish all of you a wonderful time home with your families. If you are celebrating holidays, I hope they are special and magical. I'll see you all again in 2018!
