We made it! Here we are on the last day before Winter Break! I'm excited for the time with my own family, but I know I'll miss the kids here too. We've continued to be busy working right up to the end. We've been studying winter things and talking about how to stay warm in the winter. We've also been having fun making some winter items like 3 dimensional snowmen! The kids are doing such a great job and continuing to be excited about their work right up to the end!
Yesterday on our "Winter Activity Day" we also got to listen to some live music provided by the older kids at school! The kids loved the concert! We also made "Reindeer Food as an optional center choice!
Our small groups this week focused on shapes, letter recognition and identifying letter sounds, and rhyming. I am so proud of the wonderful progress all of your children are making! This is a fun time of the year, because the kids begin to suddenly grow by leaps and bounds! We see the evidence of their hard work, as they begin showing us their learning more and more every day.
I hope you all are able to enjoy some time together with your families over this long Winter Break. Rest well, Stay warm. Hold each other tight. I'll look forward to seeing your children again in 2019!
