We've had another great week! The focus of this week was inclined planes. We've been talking about different inclined planes, what they look like, and how we can make them.
We've continued to practice letters and sounds, as well as thinking through the beginning sound of different words, so we can practice writing using inventive spelling.
We've used our cars and inclined planes to practice positional words such as under, on top, between, next to, behind and in front.
There is still time to take the 5 Essentials Survey. Thank you to all of you who have taken the time to take it. We do now have enough respondents that we will get our results! However, your voice is important to us! If you have not yet taken the survey, please do! There is still time. Please use the following link to take the survey. http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/
The survey closes March 29, 2024. It's important that you take the survey for each of your children, and in the case of children in our class, take it for Hofer Elementary, even if you also have children in other schools. The survey helps us see what we are doing well, and how we can improve to best serve our children and families. I want your voice to be heard! If you have any issues with taking the survey, please reach out, as we are happy to help you in any way possible.
We had a wonderful time with our magician Dan Gogh today! It was great to see families coming out to enjoy the show! I know your children appreciate the time spent together with them on these special days!
This upcoming week will be our last week before Spring Break. Spring Break will take place March 23, and school will resume on April 2. I hope everyone has a safe and healthy break! Look for our Spring Learning Challenge to come home this Thursday.
