I hope this week off of school has provided you some time to refresh and come together as a family. I left my adult children at home and my husband and I traveled to Austin, TX to visit my brother. It was our first time so far away, but our adult children were independent and we had some time to rest and recharge. I am home now and have enjoyed reconnecting with my family. I can't wait to get back to the kids and into our final part of the school year. This year seems to be flying by!
When we return to school tomorrow, we will begin a new study: Insects! We will be getting butterfly caterpillars and watching their transformation. This is always an exciting time for kids.
Do you have left over plastic eggs from Easter? If you do, feel free to send them into school for art projects! These could make great insect bodies!
As we enter more and more spring weather, please know that we aim to go outside whenever possible. If it's not raining, we go outside when the "feels like" temperature is 25F and above. Please be sure to send children dressed for outdoor weather every day, so they are not too cold when we go out. As always, if your family has needs for jackets, please let us know, and we will be happy to get you what you need.
