Our new insect study is off to a great start! The kids are excited to learn about insects. Today we finally got to get outside and look for some insects as well. Maybe we will find more as the weather warms up again. We've been drawing insects on our new borders, and cutting slits in the borders so they look like grass. We are learning about what makes something an insect, as opposed to other kinds of animals.
Monday is the solar eclipse. Please note that we will not be participating in viewing the eclipse. As a school we are not planning any events outside on Monday, April 8th. In an effort to avoid anyone looking at the sun and harming their eyes, we will remain indoors and have indoor recess/gross motor April 8th. We understand the significance of the event, however we do not have the proper protective eyewear, and the weather may be cloudy or rainy. Thank you for understanding!
